A Trauma-Informed Look at Healthy Sleep Foundations Course
In this course, parents and caregivers of children who have experienced trauma will walk through three primary components:
- Sleep 101: This section of the training will cover sleep science basics such as schedules, wake windows, parasomnias, sleep environment, and sleep onset associations.
-Trauma 101: This section will discuss the impact of trauma on sleep, the attachment cycle, and specific strategies caregivers can put into place to build felt safety at bedtime and beyond.
-Case Studies: This section of the course will walk through three specific examples of sleep issues I consult on frequently. Included are a toddler, preschooler, and school-aged child with different struggles and different strategies needed to improve their sleep habits.
